Marketing & Covid 19

We wanted to provide some positivity and creative insight to our fellow marketers and highlight some of the great digital Marketing Campaigns that have taken place despite of or in recognition of the Covid-19 pandemic. There are many that could have made the list, but most of these brands have a strong global or local presence. We also from a variety of industries to help stimulate creativity and inspiration, no matter what field.


Vogue's - White cover


If you are not familiar with this campaign yet, maybe it is because it was just released Friday, April 10th. However, Vogue has been and is known for its creative covers and art. Vogue Italia, however, took a different approach for it’s April 2020 edition and decided to print a white cover, which artistically represents a clean slate.

Why did it make our list?


Because we are also creatives and we understand the meaning of color. Also, this is the first time something like this has happened for Vogue (they have been around for over 100 years)


Vogue’s digital editions and articles also help portray women who have been leading the way and helping through Covid-19. They have highlighted Sanna Marin, not only as a lady leading her country through this crisis but doing so as a millennial. You can read more about it by clicking her name.



Amazon


Who doesn’t love some good online shopping? Ther did not seem to be much Amazon could do better, I mean, they gove us the convenience of sitting at home to shop anyway.

Coca-cola



Coca Cola seems to always come up with the nest phrases that give us that warm fuzzy feeling. Thi



s time they broadcasted their message on a digital screen in Time’s Square.



Also, the Coca-Cola Foundation has made contributions to support relief efforts in China, Italy, the United States, and Canada. Their Grants so far have totaled over $20 million.










The Ad Council - Elmo


For those of you who do not know, the Ad Council is a non-profit group that creates ads specifically for community and causes.


It is clearly reflected in their mission: ”We identify a select number of significant public issues and stimulate action on those issues through communications programs that make a measurable difference in our society.”


One of the Ads we loved the most was Elmo washing his hands.

Elmo is a timeless character who many people, not just kids, recognize and enjoy (even though he has had several facelifts)

Aliv Bahamas - (because we are Bahamian)


We are located in the Bahamas and our culture LOVES Easter. It is the time people come out with their children, families gather AND even people who usually don’t go to church will get dressed in their Sunday best and attend.



Of course, we all missed out on the Easter Activities, including Easter Egg hunts. However, Aliv, one of the telecommunication companies here decided to be very creative and do a virtual Egg Decorating Content and Egg Hunt. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-svW5jBjLQ/





Nike


Who does not love a good inspirational Nike Ad? They did not disappoint with a very touching message to “Play Inside”. Simple, and effective.


The Sports industry is very beloved and has had a serious impact, having to stop games (RIP NBA 2020)
